Brian Lee • National Director Commissioning and Strategic Facility Planning
Brian Lee possesses more than 17 years of building commissioning, capital planning, operational management, energy management, troubleshooting and engineering experience. Brian is the director of commissioning program and strategic facility planning studies and is responsible for the consistent execution and business development efforts for the group. He leads a group of service professionals in the execution of over 100 commissioning projects and is responsible maintaining the commissioning program quality assurance on projects. Brian works closely with clients to ensure that the programs developed provide value and address the varied needs on each project. Brian’s career with Aramark started initially with managing the implementation of individual commissioning projects and then grew into managing the execution within the Mid-Atlantic region prior to his current role. In addition to his role in commissioning, Brian also annually leads over 25 strategic studies, planning efforts as well as system diagnostic support for our clients. Included in this effort is the active management of Facility Conditions Assessments, Utility Master Plans and Greenhouse Gas Emissions reports.
Prior to joining Aramark, Brian served as a building systems lead engineer, project manager and controls engineer in the New York area. His responsibilities varied from conceptual design to the commissioning of numerous mechanical and control system installations for state-of-the-art, high-tech cleanroom facilities. He was the lead engineer for a $3.2 million cleanroom air handler replacement project at IBM. He also led the effort for a chilled water storage application that provided a $12 million capital savings to IBM.
Brian also worked as a project manager across numerous locations both stateside and abroad on the United States Air Force healthcare building infrastructure. As such, he has worked on a wide array of technically complex facilities in the medical and research environment.
